Last October 5th and 6th the Vanity Cup tournament held its 20th event and it was the first Vanity Cup tournament with a $100,000 first prize and a $2000 entry fee.  In addition to overall prize money there was also day money up for grabs with the first place award for each day being Lund 1775 Pro V's valued at a retail price of $35,900 each, meaning the winners could  potentially return home with over $170,000 in cash and awards.  To my knowledge this was the largest potential winnings for any team event held in North America.  There was also a tournament within a tournament and big fish pools that further increased the opportunity to take home a large cheque.

SWT anglers Delvin Kushniryk and Lyle Miller were the picture of consistency with 5th place finishes each day to put together a total weight of 52.55 lbs and secure their first place finish.

I have known Delvin and Lyle for many years and can say that they are one of the hardest working teams out there and they put in a lot of time on the water to prepare for their tournaments.  This has paid off for them not only at the Vanity but at all the tournaments they fish together.  No matter how tough the fishing is they always seem to find fish and come in with a good weight.

Delvin and Lyle received $100,000 for the win, $3100 for 5th place each day and another $5200 for their tournament within a tournament placing for a total take of $111,400.00.
