Saskatchewan Landing Tournament Update

The rules meeting for the Sask Landing Walleye  will be at the Kyle Community Sports Centre this year instead of the hall.  They will be offering a ‘cook your own steak’ supper with all the fixings?

Sask Landing Update
I received a call today from one of the committee members to inform me that the Tumbleweed Motel in Kyle has been closed. I called the motel to confirm and received a phone number no longer in service message.

This will put many of us in a difficult position because of the lack of accommodations in Kyle.

The committee is checking to see if the park would consider opening a fisherman's village as it did many years ago. Other possibilities are the small campground in town and there are also some facilities at Clear Lake that will be available for booking in May.

Swift Current is 50 kms from Sask landing for those willing to commute.

  Fish Mortality (please read)
Being a summer tournament and on a large body of water, mortality and delayed mortality is more of a concern.  The first line of defence in reducing mortality is you, the angler.  Please read the Guidelines to Reducing Mortality that we published last year and take any steps necessary to improve your odds of keeping your catch healthy.

Not only do we want to keep the fish alive and releasable but keep in mind that a lot of money has been forfeited by teams that lost positions and pay cheques because they had fish that were deemed not releasable.
